Using Connections, Kickplan allows you to easily import data from your other business applications, linking it all together to help you monetize your product.

Kickplan currently supports more than 220 integrations. Please contact us if your desired integration hasn't been activated.

Importing data to use as a Value Metric is straightforward, and only takes a few steps to map your data fields to the Metric data model.

Click on Connections in the sidebar navigation

The Overview screen shows how your business data is flowing in and out of Kickplan.

Define your Stream

Select the desired data source from your Connection, select Read for Direction, and Metric Events for the Target Resource. Then define an Event Key Template for your event, using dynamic values if needed.

Define matching rules

Events need to be associated with an Account, so next define a Source Field and Target Field that will associate your Connection data with the Kickplan Account resource.

You can also define what happens to data that doesn't find an Account match and either create a new Account or set the Event Status to Needs Review or Skipped.

Next define the Event value and timestamp

Events also have a value and a timestamp. Use Field Mapping section to define the fields you want to associate.

Finally, Save the Stream.

You can now use events from your Connection Stream in your Value Metrics by adding the Stream's event key in the Value Metric's event key field.
